“Mom!! You won that contest!!” I can remember my son calling me and telling me this like it was yesterday. 

More on that shortly. 

It all started when my friend got breast cancer.  I started looking for Alternative Care in cannabis kept coming up. 

So I was like what the heck is this? So I kind of jumped into the Cannabis side for cancer and then when I realized I couldn't sell the Cannabis legally, I had been taken CBD oils for my arthritis for a couple years.  So then I just started experimenting with the CBD because I can do that legally.  

And I didn't realize how well it was working until I quit taking it for a couple weeks and then all the pain really came back. Then I started experimenting with the salves for the topical use. 

So one day I was actually making capsules with coconut oil and CBD to take to sleep at night.  And then when I was making it, I rubbed it on my hands. Then I thought to myself, “If I added stuff to this, maybe it could be something better.”  And it kind of just evolved from there. 

I started experimenting in my kitchen with different versions for my own arthritis.  Then one thing led to another, and I started giving it to friends, and just kept asking me for more and more.  They became repeat customers. 

During that process, I started researching different ingredients that were both natural and organic and that helped with healing and pain that I could add to the salve. In that process, I ran into Frankincense and Myrrh. 

I’m really into organic and natural.  I didn’t want to add any preservatives or any of that other junk that was in a lot of the other products I saw on the market.  It had to be natural and organic. 

It was quite an experimentation process, and I created 5 to 6 different variations before I found the final formula that gave me the consistency, scent, and effect on pain that I wanted.

For the base, I combined coconut oil, jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, olive oil and avocado oil with cocoa butter, kokum butter, shea butter and beeswax.  

Then I used broad-spectrum CBD oil to maintain all of the natural terpenes and compounds.  

Essential oils were the final additions.  That’s all there is.  

And that simplicity is one of the reasons this product is loved by so many, and why people who use it continue to buy more and more of it month after month. 

For most who try it, it has become a staple in their bathroom cabinet. 

So here's what happened next that really proved this was something that the world needed...

One day my son came to me and said to me…”Mom, I need 10 cans of your salve and $50.” 

So I said, “For what?” 

To which he replied, “Well I’m going to put you in this contest.”

And I’m like, “What contest?”

And he said, “Well it’s called the Connoisseur Cup.”

And I was like, “Well, whatever…”

So I gave him the cans and the $50 and basically forgot about it.  Months and months went by after that. 

Now, "The Connoisseur" is a 7 month long blindly judged cannabis competition here in my state of Colorado that hemp and cannabis companies from multiple states enter into every year with multiple categories.

During the months that passed, my Kanna Kream is progressing through multiple levels of this contest.  

Finally, my son gave me a call in May the following year, 7 months after he entered me into this contest and says excitedly… “Mom!! You won that contest!!”

I said, “What are you talking about?” 

He said, “You got first place for Best CBD Salve!”

We went to the ceremony to receive the award medal for winning first place and we had multiple walk by and say something like, “Oh you’re from that Kanna Kream?? That stuff is great!!!”

Fast forward to today.  We’re on a mission to share this amazing salve and product with the world. I’m just like you.  I struggle with pain.  I struggle with aches.  And I stumbled onto a way to help with those things through my research, my experience, and my experimentation.
